The arcsine function returns the angle whose sine is the given value. The arcsine is a trigonometric function. The arcsine is the functional inverse of the sine function. If sine(θ) = opposite/hypotenuse then sin-1(opposite/hypotenuse) = θ; Arcsine is written arcsin or sin-1.

Definition: y = sin-1 x if and only if x = sin y.
